Disclaimer: This event is a community cook-off, and the majority of dishes are homemade and not prepared in professional kitchens. If you have any food allergies, please read the ingredient cards at the mac, cheese and sides/toppings stations, and realize that shared equipment is likely used.
Will there be tickets at the door??
Yes! There will be a RIDICULOUSLY, EXTREMELY limited number of tickets (10!!) available at the door for $15, first come, first served. One per person. We recommend you get there early for the doors to open and inquire at the registration table. We plead with you to buy in advance while tickets are still available.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is not required, but it is recommended to print or show your receipt on smartphone or similar device.
What’s this Hatch? Will there be any seating?
A little! There is VERY limited seating. This is a party! Our event is at Hatch Communtiy Innovation Lab at 2420 NE Sandy Blvd. It’s a shared workspace environment. This showcase is more casual than our previous two events at Mt. Tabor’s Dining Room, with more of a focus on mingling, walking around and exploring the happenings around the space, such as our demos, kids crafts and cheese tasting table. This is not a sit down dinner.
Will I get to try all of the mac and cheeses?
That’s the point! It does depend on availability, but sampling sizes will be limited and there will be plenty of sides, toppings and rotating cheese plates to tickle your appetite.
I love making vegan mac & cheese! Or, my roommate does all the time! How can they contribute?
Sorry, chef signup is now all booked!
Back to the food! What else is there to eat?
We’re currently accepting donations for our rotating vegan cheese stations, where we’ll be showcasing plates of nondairy cheezy creations from both local and larger brands. We’ll also have crackers, fresh fruit and our favorite mac & cheese toppings and add-in’s, such as roasted vegetables, hot sauce, chili & beans. But let’s be real, we hope you’re coming for all the mac & cheese!
Can I grab a vendor table for my business/organization/etsy store? How can I sponsor this fine event?
We’re currently booked on vendor tables, but if you’d like to donate a raffle prize or item for our sides & toppings table or have another idea, please send an email to VeganIronChef@gmail.com. We’d love to have you there and appreciate the support!
Remember, Vegan Iron Chef is a 100% volunteer-run organization and is always seeking new members!
